Mark Henry recently told Hot 97 radio host Peter Rosenberg that he's signed a new contract with WWE, his last contract with the company, for another three years.

Henry said he sat down with WWE after competing at Extreme Rules in May to negotiate a new contract. He said he was so hurt at the time that he couldn't sleep because he couldn't lie down and could only sit in chairs.

The World's Strongest Man said he was hurt as far back as Elimination Chamber after having just come back to WWE from an injury. The cartilage on the edge of his ribs had been separated, he said. When Henry got injured, he said he asked for time off because he didn't want to half-ass his wrestling because it wouldn't be fair to WWE, his fans, or himself.

But Henry claims he was talked into working a 14-day European tour. Henry said he was getting pissed off because WWE kept telling him he was needed and that he'd get time off sometime in the near future. Though Henry felt that was never going to happen.

"I just told them, 'I'm going home. I'm not listening to y'all.' My contract was expiring. It had expired, and I was just working injury days. I ain't have to do that to myself," Henry said.

"I knew my worth meant something, and I wanted an acknowledgement that I was worth something because I had been told I was average. I took a 50 percent pay cut. There was a lot of stuff that went on," Henry said. "I was like, 'Tell me where I am now.' And you know, basically we had that come to Jesus."
