Word is Cena will undergo surgery shortly after the August 18 pay-per-view and thus taking time off from in-ring action. The decision was made last week for Cena not to wrestle until SummerSlam so he won't further aggravate a serious left elbow injury before then and comprise the main event.
Cena has already been taking it easy. He didn't work an August 11 live event in Oakland, California and had limited participation in a six-man tag team match during the August 5 edition of WWE Raw.
