On August 13, Sheamus underwent surgery to have a torn labrum in his left shoulder repaired.
Michael Sampson, a WWE physician, said Sheamus's surgery "went well" and physical therapy will begin on August 14. He's expected to be out of action for four-to-six months.
The Celtic Warrior said on Twitter the same day, "Six anchors inserted in my left labrum. Thanks to Dr Dougas & staff... Shoulder's stiff, rehab starts tomorrow. #roadtorecovery"
Sheamus sustained the injury at the Money In The Bank WWE Championship ladder match on July 14 when he was thrown over the top rope and landed on a ladder. He landed hard on his left leg and shoulder.
