Daniel Bryan was originally supposed to defeat Randy Orton in the match in order to set up his main event push for the summer, but Hunter stopped it out of concern for his health. WWE.com featured a video after WWE Raw of Triple H discussing Bryan confronting him backstage for making the decision.
Word is Bryan was "irate" while complaining to Triple H in the Gorilla position that he shouldn't have stopped the match. Bryan said he's wrestled all over the world and knows when he can or can't compete. Triple H countered that he doesn't want anyone working hurt.
It became a loud argument between the two men that a lot of people witnessed. These eyewitnesses were said to be shocked someone as soft-spoken and good-natured as Bryan would get into an argument with WWE management, particularly with someone as influential as Triple H. They both eventually apologized to each other.
