WWE recently released a statement about a 13-year-old from New Orleans who's been charged in the second-degree murder of his five-year-old half sister after allegedly using wrestling moves on her.
"The death of Viloude Louis is a tragedy, and our condolences go out to her family," WWE's statement shows.
"WWE urges restraint in reporting this unfortunate incident as if it were the result of a WWE wrestling move. As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death," according to WWE. "Authorities have already charged the accused (Devalon Armstrong) with second degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move."
The Advocate recently published a story about the incident. The newspaper quoted a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office colonel as saying Louis was killed after Armstrong slammer her onto a bed and beat her. Paramedics tried to teach Armstong to use CPR on Louis over the phone, but she died shortly after medical personnel arrived at their home and tried to revive her.
