That hitch was Triple H's office was slow in presenting an offer to RVD despite both camps having talked for months. An offer was extended to RVD just two weeks ago despite his willingness to come back to WWE after Wrestlemania 29. RVD has previously said he was going to show up on a wrestling show by the end of April.
Triple H was said not to be interested in offering RVD a deal. A rumor that recently surfaced online indicates Triple H at one point asked RVD how his return would be different this time because he didn't get over before the last time he was with the company. RVD meanwhile started exploring other opportunities inside and outside of wrestling. That is, until Triple H finally expressed interest in doing business. Then a deal was quickly brokered.
