Jesse Sorensen recently shared his thoughts in the wake of TNA releasing him on July 23 and clarified who started an online fundraiser in his name.

"I am very appreciative of the time of small fame I was given. I have realized that what’s important in life isn’t being a 'superstar' or being famous. It’s about having Real friends & family that support you no matter what you’ve been thru & care about you no matter what you do in life" Sorensen said on his Facebook page on July 24.

"Thank you to every one of y’all that support me. I’m always going to be that small town kid that was raised right & still believe that someone’s word is their bond," Sorensen said. "I look very forward to moving on with positivity & look forward to seeing what life brings my way.”

Sorensen also took to Twitter the same day to address who started an online campaign in his name to raise $600 so he could attend an upcoming Tampa, Florida bodybuilding competition.

"This whole donation page thing has gotten way out of hand the page was made my a concerned friend of mine because I had planned on dropping out of my competition," Sorensen said. "I personally never asked for anything from anyone but do appreciate the help of a friend & the fans who donated to it."

These Twitter comments surfaced nine hours after Sorensen said the online campaign was not started by him. Sorensen also said he didn't make comments, which were being used to promote the campaign, that TNA President Dixie Carter falsely promised him a job for life after he suffered a sever neck injury wrestling for the company in 2012.
