Shawn Michaels Says Being Gay In Wrestling 'Very 80s'

WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels told TMZ on August 18 that Darren Young coming out won't change anything in pro wrestling "because gay in our business is very eighties."

Michaels, who admitted he just heard about Young coming out, said wrestlers weren't thinking about going on Twitter and admitting they were gay 20 years ago.

"It doesn't matter if it was a big deal to us, it was a big deal to him," Michaels said while walking through an airport. "I think that's good."

HBK added it's "hip to be gay right now" and it's a nice and safe time to come out. Michaels said he doesn't imagine Young being gay will hurt him.
